COUNTIES & REGIONS

Start With Your County or Region

Each county page covers the housing, lot sizes, soil and permit approach typical there, plus links to every city we serve in that county.

Wayne County

Detroit, Dearborn, Livonia, Westland, the Grosse Pointes, Northville, Plymouth and Downriver. The oldest housing stock and the most replacement work.

Oakland County

Royal Oak, Ferndale, Birmingham, Troy, Novi, Rochester Hills and the western lakes. Heavy HOA presence and many pool yards.

Macomb County

Warren, Sterling Heights, St. Clair Shores, Roseville, Mount Clemens and the M-59 townships. Postwar lots in the south, subdivisions in the north.

Downriver Detroit

Wyandotte, Southgate, Trenton, Taylor and the Detroit River cities, where wet clay and old footings shape the job.

Metro Detroit

The full tri-county picture: how fence jobs change from the inner ring to the outer suburbs.

Southeast Michigan

Larger lots toward Ann Arbor, Fenton, Clarkston and northern Macomb, with long runs and township rules.

POPULAR CITIES

Cities Where We Build Most Often

A sample of the cities on our weekly schedule. Every county page lists the rest.

Detroit

Bungalows, two-flats and historic districts with alleys and tight side yards.

Livonia

Postwar ranches on wide lots, ideal for privacy and dog fencing.

Dearborn

Brick homes on narrow lots near the Rouge River.

Royal Oak

Older Woodward-corridor lots where cedar works around garages.

Troy

Large HOA subdivisions with plenty of pools.

Novi

Newer subdivisions with written association fence standards.

Sterling Heights

Macomb's largest city, led by vinyl privacy requests.

St. Clair Shores

Lake St. Clair canal and waterfront lots.

Do Not See Your City?

We cover far more communities than we have pages for, including most townships in all three counties. Call or send your address and we will confirm.

WHY LOCATION MATTERS

What Changes From One Community to the Next

A fence in Ferndale and a fence in Macomb Township can use the same panels and still be completely different jobs. Older inner-ring cities have narrow lots, detached garages, alleys and existing fences to tear out. Newer suburbs have wider lots, homeowners associations with written fence standards and more pools. Waterfront communities on Lake St. Clair, the Detroit River and the inland lakes add moisture, wind and view concerns.

The approval path changes too. Fence rules are set by each city, village or township, so height limits, corner-lot visibility rules and permit steps differ even between neighbors across a road. Most Metro Detroit cities limit front-yard fences to about 3-4 feet; we confirm your lot's rules before quoting. What never changes is the ground: frost reaches about 42 inches across the region, so that is how deep every post goes.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Service Area Questions

How our coverage works.

Which counties do you serve?

Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties are our core service area. We also take projects toward Ann Arbor and Washtenaw County.

Do you charge more for farther locations?

Estimates are free everywhere we serve. Pricing is based on material, footage, gates and site conditions, and any distance factor is shown on the written quote rather than hidden.

Who issues fence permits, the county or the city?

Fence permits are usually issued by your local city, village or township building department, not the county. Rules vary between neighboring communities, so we confirm them for your exact address.

Do you serve townships as well as cities?

Yes. Townships such as Clinton, Shelby, Macomb and Chesterfield make up a large share of our work even though they do not all have their own pages yet.

How quickly can you get to my area?

We reply to requests within 24 hours and usually measure within the same week, wherever you are in the three counties.

Do you repair fences in all of these areas?

Yes. Our fence repair services cover the same counties, from leaning posts and sagging gates to storm and tree damage.
