WHY CHAIN LINK FOR THE PERIMETER

The Most Fence Line for the Budget on a Commercial Site

When you need hundreds or thousands of feet secured, chain link gives property managers and owners the best balance of cost, visibility and repairability.

Visibility for Cameras

Open mesh keeps sightlines clear for patrols, security cameras and lighting, so nobody can hide behind the fence line.

Nothing to hide behind

Commercial-Weight Framework

Heavier-wall pipe for line, terminal and gate posts, with top and mid rails on tall runs so the fence resists leaning and impact.

Built for 8 to 12 ft

Repair One Bay at a Time

When a truck clips the fence, the damaged post or panel is replaced without tearing out the run, which keeps repair budgets predictable.

Low lifetime cost

Built Around Your Hours

We phase the work, keep gates operable and coordinate with site managers so deliveries, tenants and residents keep moving.

No full-site shutdown

COMMERCIAL SPECIFICATION

How We Spec a Commercial Perimeter Fence

Commercial chain link is a different product from a backyard fence. Taller fabric catches more wind, so posts get heavier wall thickness, line posts are spaced closer and runs over 8 feet get a mid rail. We follow the ASTM F567 installation practice that most commercial specs reference, set terminal and gate posts in concrete below the 42 inch frost line, and stretch 9-gauge fabric tight with a bottom tension wire or rail. Galvanized is standard, and vinyl-coated security fencing is available where appearance matters.

Gate choice drives how the site works. Pedestrian and double swing gates handle smaller openings, and truck entrances are usually best served by cantilever slide gates that have no track to clog with snow. For residential runs, see galvanized steel chain link. Our full commercial scope is on the commercial fencing page and the chain link hub.

WHO WE BUILD FOR

Commercial Chain Link Applications

The same system, spec'd differently for each kind of property.

HOA Common Areas

Retention ponds, playgrounds, pools and maintenance areas, often in black vinyl-coated to suit the neighborhood.

Boundary and parking-lot fencing that survives heavy use and is cheap to repair when a car bumps it.

Retail & Restaurants

Rear lot security, delivery areas and outdoor storage, often paired with dumpster enclosures.

Equipment & Utilities

Fenced pads around generators and mechanical equipment. See utility and HVAC security cages.

Sports & Recreation

Ball field backstops, tennis courts and athletic perimeters with taller fabric and mid rails.

Construction & Temporary

Permanent fencing installed early on new sites so equipment and materials are secured through construction.

Churches & Schools

Playground, parking and field fencing with knuckled tops and gates that lock after hours.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Commercial Chain Link Questions

What property managers, owners and HOA boards ask before a perimeter project.

How much does commercial chain link fencing cost?

Most 6 to 8 foot galvanized commercial runs land roughly between $28 and $50 per linear foot installed, before gates. Taller fabric, coatings, barbed or razor wire and cantilever gates raise it. We provide an itemized proposal after a site walk.

Can you add barbed wire or razor wire?

Yes, on extension arms above the fabric. Many cities restrict barbed or razor wire by zoning district or height above grade, so we confirm it is allowed on your property before we spec it.

How tall can a commercial fence be?

Industrial sites often allow 8 to 12 feet, while commercial and residential districts are usually lower. We check the zoning rules for your parcel and pull the permit.

Can you work while our business stays open?

Yes. We phase the installation, keep entrances usable and coordinate schedules with your site manager, tenants or residents.

Do you provide proof of insurance for commercial work?

Yes. We provide a certificate of insurance for property managers and owners before work begins.

Do you repair damaged commercial chain link?

Yes. We replace bent posts, damaged fabric and broken gate hardware bay by bay. See our fence repair services.
